Training Schedule

DAY 1

Training Description

This training opens the path to reformer specialization in the Sinya Pilates system. It provides a solid foundation for further work with this versatile equipment. Participants will learn proper reformer and client body positioning, spring operation, starting positions, and safe exercise introduction in various positions – supine, kneeling, and supported. The training’s goal is to teach conscious, functional work based on Pilates principles and prepare you to independently conduct group and individual classes at a fundamental level. To teach neutral pelvis and spine positioning and adapting exercise form to participants’ actual capabilities – without overloading, without copying, with full responsibility for function.

In the spirit of the Pilates system, this training is also perception training, where we learn to read micro-shifts in posture, conduct lessons with spatial intention, and work on multiple levels: physical, neuromotor, and perceptual. The Reformer here doesn’t serve visual effect – it serves to create a coherent relationship: movement – breath – axis – space.

What You'll Learn

Equipment Technique and Setup Reformer fundamentals (springs, footbar, shoulder rests, box, straps). Spring operation: resistance, intensity, function. Safety principles. How to spot, how to prevent accidents

Biomechanics and Functional Stabilization Neutral pelvis and spine. Breath integration with core activation. Closed and open chain work. Positioning relative to springs and movement direction

Cueing, Observation, and Progression Verbal and visual communication in group and individual work. Building sequences in relation to space and axis. Movement quality analysis – compensatory tensions, asymmetries. Teacher’s response to what’s “happening in the body,” not just form

Teaching Practice and Lesson Planning How to structure lessons according to student level. How to develop lessons progressively from supine to kneeling and supports. How to analyze response to resistance and modify lessons “in the moment”

Who Is This For?

This training is dedicated to Pilates instructors, physiotherapists, and movement teachers who want to introduce a conscious, professionally grounded reformer work method into their practice. It’s the starting point for further Sinya Flow and Coreline levels, but also a solid foundation for conducting safe group classes and therapeutic sessions.

Guidelines

  1. After the first training, participants receive a practice card in which they document completed practical sessions.
  2. You can also schedule sessions with our teachers at their studios – you’ll receive feedback, gaining individual guidance for your work.
  3. 60h of practice (total hours across 3 reformer training levels, 20h of practice per individual module) allows you to take the online practical exam. Students record a complete lesson, preceded by a lesson plan.
