Inspired by Kathy Grant’s legacy
For the first time as part of Sinya Global Events, participants will be invited to an immersive workshop journey led by the world-renowned teacher Sarita Allen, deeply connected to the lineage and philosophy of Kathy Grant.
Sarita Allen represents the second generation of Pilates teachers, directly descended from Joseph Pilates’ lineage. She is a long-time student of Kathy Grant, one of Joseph Pilates’ first students and one of the most important figures of the first generation of the Pilates method.
These workshops are not merely about learning exercises or choreography.
They are about discovering how movement can become lighter, more conscious, intelligent, and deeply connected to the body from within.
Through dynamic work on the Reformer, deep exploration of the Chair, integration of mat work, and the use of small equipment, participants will experience an approach based on:
Each session is designed to develop awareness, creativity, and an authentic sense of the body, while honoring the richness of the classical Pilates method.
This experience combines:
Workshops with Sarita are practical work with the full Pilates repertoire—both in the context of leading client sessions and developing your own practice. We will use a variety of equipment and props, including the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrel, mats, and small accessories. Check the program to see which tools will be used during each day and lesson. You will learn how to lead sessions based on client needs and work with specific case studies.
Event location:
September 10–13, Noa Pilates, Dominikańska 9, Poznań
As part of the 4-day package, accommodation at the Hilton by Hampton hotel can be purchased. The cost of accommodation is 350 PLN per night. Hampton by Hilton Poznań Old Town is located just about 10 minutes’ walk from the NOA Pilates studio, allowing participants to conveniently reach the classes without needing transportation
You can register separately for Day 1 or Day 4, or choose to participate in both days.
Day 2 and Day 3 are an integral two-day workshop, and registration includes the full program, with no option to purchase a single day.
Participants attending the workshops on Days 2–3 receive complimentary access to Day 4 – Observation Sessions, included in the workshop price.

MASTER SESSIONS & OBSERVATION DAY
An exclusive educational experience
This is a rare educational experience focused on observing the teacher's real work and decision-making processes in Pilates.
The program includes participation in a full day of classes from 10:00 AM to 6:15 PM. The price includes a 2-hour group class and the opportunity to observe individual training sessions.
The greatest value of the day is the opportunity to develop the “teacher's eye” and a way of thinking about movement.
The observer learns to:
Equipment used during the session:
Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Spine Corrector, Ped-o-pull, mats.
Individual body analysis and a private one-on-one session with the teacher.
This is the most personalized form of work, allowing for a deep dive into the needs of a specific body, its organization, and movement strategies.
Session includes:
Equipment used in class:
Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Spine Corrector, Ped-o-pull, mats, and more.
The practice focuses on muscle isolation and integration, with breath as a tool for control and precise body alignment.
This experience allows for a deeper understanding of movement organization, core awareness, and a functional understanding of the “powerhouse.”
Work includes:
Equipment used in class: Magic Circle, straps, balls, mats, Ballet Barre.
Work in a two-person format, during which participants observe the teacher's real work with a client.
This is a unique opportunity to see the therapeutic and educational process “from the inside.”
The duo purchasing the session participates directly in the practice with the teacher, while other participants develop their observation and movement analysis skills.
Session includes:
Equipment used in class:
Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Spine Corrector, Ped-o-pull, mats, and more.
Inside the Powerhouse
(first day of the workshop)
An intensive workshop experience
This day focuses on the internal organization of the body and the intelligence of movement.
The work combines classical Pilates with exploration inspired by Kathy Grant's method, creating a space between control and fluidity.
The goal of the day is to develop an awareness of the “Powerhouse” as a system, not just a place in the body.
Deep work on muscular organization and internal awareness.
Participants learn:
Equipment:
Magic Circle, straps, balls, mats, BALLance, two-kilogram ankle weights (Dr. Tanja Kuhne)
Dynamic work on the Reformer based on fluidity, control, and conscious movement. We learn to cooperate with spring resistance instead of fighting it; we learn to use its resistance as support for movement quality.
The program includes work on rhythm and fluidity of transitions, controlled dynamics, and intelligent use of resistance to build strength, coordination, and lightness of movement.
Class at various difficulty levels.
A workshop on the Wunda Chair focused on building strength, stabilization, and movement control. The Chair, as a versatile piece of equipment, allows for developing balance, coordination, and deep body stabilization through work in seated, standing, and support positions.
The program includes work on the feet as the foundation of movement, integration of the lower and upper body segments, spinal stabilization, and control in standing positions.
Participants will learn to consciously use spring resistance to build strength and fluidity of movement.
The day will conclude with a calm regeneration session, body lengthening, and tension release.
Equipment: Chair
Movement in Motion
(second day of the workshop)
An extended immersive experience
This day is a natural progression of the previous workshops.
It focuses on:
This is a day where technique becomes movement.
A quick, intensive return to fundamentals.
Resetting body organization and recalling key principles of core work.
An energetic mat practice inspired by Kathy Grant's approach, developing movement through rhythm, flow, and deep body awareness. The second level constitutes a progression of the foundational work, introducing more dynamic sequences, greater coordination, and conscious control of movement while maintaining the precision of the Pilates method.
The program includes work on fluidity of transitions, body organization in space, breath integration, and building strength and stabilization without losing lightness of movement. Characteristic of Kathy Grant's approach is the search for movement quality, intelligent body work, and an individual movement experience that develops both technique and movement expression.
This day develops not only the body, but primarily the way of observing and understanding movement.
Equipment used during the day:
Magic Circle, straps, balls, BALLance mats (Dr. Tanja Kuhne).
A continuation of the first day's work and the development of conscious collaboration with the Reformer through more dynamic, fluid, and expressive movement sequences. Participants deepen their ability to control springs, learning to use resistance to create lightness, fluidity, and greater freedom of movement.
The program includes progressive transitions, movement choreography, full body integration, and building endurance and coordination in longer Reformer sequences. We work on rhythm, organization, and seamless connection of exercises, while maintaining precision, stabilization, and quality of execution.
The class allows participants to experience the Reformer not only as a strengthening tool, but also as a partner supporting dynamic and conscious movement.
A comprehensive experience of working in a full Pilates Studio environment, integrating various apparatus and forms of movement into one cohesive, conscious practice. During the workshop, participants will work on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ped-o-Pull, at the Barre, and on the mat, discovering how each piece of equipment supports different aspects of movement and body organization.
The program focuses on integrating strength, mobility, stabilization, control, and fluidity of movement across different work environments. Participants will learn to consciously transfer Pilates principles between equipment, building greater coordination, space in the body, and a deeper understanding of the method as a complete movement system.

Meetings with mentors and teachers from various backgrounds allow for a new perspective on movement, a deeper understanding of the method, and the discovery of one’s own teaching style. That is why Sinya Pilates events are created as a space where knowledge meets experience, and the community of instructors grows through shared learning and inspiration.
